This is to update my bio of five years ago. Three years ago, I phased into retirement by going to a three day work week for a year and
since have worked 50 to 60 days a year as a consultant on a project basis. Much of this has been placing and trouble shooting fabrication
for the company at various places around the world. Over the past five years in this regard, I have made 14 trips to China, four to
Korea, four to Turkey, three to Brazil, and one to Italy. On a few of these trips, I have been fortunate to be able to take my wife Kathy
along so we have been able to share travel experiences around the world. Since Kathy is nine years my junior, she decided to go back to
work two years ago as Director of Human Resources for the Salvation Army in Tulsa. She had been out of the work force for 12 years so
this has been quiet a change. I stay busy doing a little consulting work, playing golf once or twice a week, participating in weekly
Bible Study Fellowship, participating in a monthly men’s accountability group in which we read and discuss books and maintaining the
house and cooking a few meals. We also spend time sharing grandkids activities as much as possible. Unfortunately, Kathy has another
commitment and will miss the reunion this year.
Kathy and I will spend four days with my sister Carolyn and my brother Howard and their spouses at his home in Kerrville, Texas in early
November. We will play golf and enjoy each other’s company. We make this an annual get-together usually in Hot Springs Village. Carolyn
lives in Little Rock.
Our daughter Emily graduated this spring Summa Cum Laude from Oklahoma Baptist University with a degree in Elementary and Early Childhood
Education. She will leave in November for two years in the mission field in Mexico. She has just completed nine weeks of Spanish
immersion language training in Guatemala in preparation for this venture. Following her mission activity, she intends to obtain a
teaching position.
My three children from my first marriage are doing well. Kelli met her husband Vince while both worked at Disney World and they have
stayed in the Orlando area raising two great kids, Tyler 16 and Gage 14. Kelli has taught school there for18 years. Vince contracts with
Chrysler to manage their ‘lemon law’ program in Florida. We try to see them twice per year.
Matt lives in Fort Smith with his wife, Carrie, and their three children, Reed, 14, Sydney, 6, and Sawyer 2. Matt is Sales Manager for
Kitchen Supplies at Tankersley Foods. We see them often.
Jennifer lives with her husband Scott and children Zach, 14, Jacob, 13, and Bella, 5, in Broken Arrow, OK. We love having them close to
be able to participate in all the kids activities.
